I have to tell you a story. I have a customer who trains race horses who stopped me one morning to ask about making a saddle pad for a horse. It seems the saddle kept slipping back and the horse was not training well. The local tack shop told her to have a repair person (me) build a pad up to stop the saddle from slipping back. I asked her if the horse was traveling with his head up , ears to the side and with an uncomfortable look. She said YES .. I asked if I could see the horse and her saddles and just as I suspected the horse had rather high withers and their saddle had very flat wide trees which was sitting right on the poor horse\'s withers. I told her I thought the horse was purposely pushing the saddle back to relieve the pain on his withers. I told her the pad would only make matters worse. I said \"the princess still feels the pea, under all those mattresses!\" Needless to say I asked her if I could give her one of your saddles to use for a few days to see if they noticed a difference. I said she could give it back to me if it didn\'t work. Well, three days later they told me they had a different horse. The saddle with your tree in it sat totally different on this horse and the horse was now galloping fine and was happy again. I look like a superstar and also sold one of your saddles. The horse reached down and gave me a little nustle on the hip. Thanks for making a great tree in a great saddle.
